On Making Melodies

This is an ode to my literally young self—who at a young age already knew how to make melodies. I’m proud of you and your nerdiness.

Also, I’m proud of what you’ve become now :) I’m glad that you’ve revived your youthful glow and joy—that’s priceless. I’m glad that you’re not worried about what other people will think as long as you know that your God is not put to shame with what you do :) I’m glad that you’re listening to happy music again—aww no more emo stuff.

I’m glad that you choose to sing no matter what circumstance you are in.

All of my life, in every season, You are still God. I have a reason to sing.

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing ’cause You pick me up
Sing ’cause You’re there
I can sing ’cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I’ll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

Wow, cassette tape.

Random Meki photo since I look like a "Meki" here accdg to people
