Empire Deli & Restaurant: Restaurant Review

Raisa and I were looking for a good place where we can have lunch @ Mckinley. We were tired of fastfood but we didn’t have that big of a budget to spend for extremely high-end restos. We found Empire Deli & Restaurant at the ground floor of Piazza. The place looked really cool and the pictures of the food on the posters looked nice so we decided to go for it. It felt as if was in New York and was about to rub shoulders with Ted, Robin, Barney, Marshall and Lily.

Photo c/o their website :)

Rai and I were supposed to get pasta but we looked up an saw a poster saying that they had rice dishes for only Php150. I looked around and checked the general serving size based on what other people had. I was confident that the rice dish would at least be as plentiful as the other meals so we cancelled our pasta order and had 2 orders of the Classic Wings rice dish.

Our food arrived quickly, just a few moments after Miggy I arrived, and I was surprised with how generous the serving size was.

Yes, you see 3 humongous pieces of wings, lotsa rice, and some coleslaw. This is enough to feed one hungry guy friend.

What’s even better is that the wings tasted GREAT! They were tasty and had the right amount of sauce and marinate. I was even tempted to go try the Atomic Wing Challenge, where you are to eat 15 pieces of wings in 5 minutes—no water and no wiping. Wait for news if I do decide to do that.

Anyway, they serve a lot of other things but for thrifty corporate folks like me, I’d suggest that you go for that meal that’s worth your every peso!

Oh, and they have FRIENDS marathon nights every Monday @ 7 pm!!! I’m thinking of going one of these days to check it out :)

Visit Empire Deli & Restaurant at the Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Hi Melody. As you probably noticed, Empire shut down (unfortunately) middle of last year. However, the group behind Empire (yup, I’m part of it) has made a comeback with our new resto, Bistro NYC, located in Prism Plaza, Two ECom Center, MOA Complex, Pasay. We have some of the old Empire favorites on the menu, plus some new dishes. Bistro NYC also has a full bar if you’re looking for a place to hangout on weekends. Check out our website, http://www.bistronyc.com. Hope to see you there soon!
