Meki 365: Time Warp

Today’s prompt:

When you’re giddy with excitement, does time speed up? Slow down? Tell us about the experience of anticipation.

With this prompt, I remember the movie Must Be Love and their concept of “slow mo” and “fast forward”. Kapag daw seryosohan na, hindi na slow mo ‘yung ma-eexperience mo, kundi mag-fafast forward ang oras at makikita mo ‘yung sarili mo marrying that person, etc. It was a really really cute concept, but one that does not apply to me kasi sa akin, baliktad. I tend to do the whole fast forward thing with almost everyone I meet and in almost every situation I am in. I have the tendency to overthink and always attempt to predict what the outcome would be.

On the other hand, when I am genuinely in exciting anticipation or intensely stimulated about something, time slows down — a very rare occurrence. I remember two very specific kilig moments of my life that had a slow mo feel — one inside a train in Singapore, and one in Resorts World Manila. I need more of those.
